In her project, Franziska Pellegrini combines signal processing and machine learning approaches to research the latest questions on the development of movement disorders. The focus of her work lies in the analysis of human cortical magnet- and electro encephalography (M/EEG) and intracranially recorded subcortical local field potential (LFP) data with the aim of assessing pathological communication between brain regions. The project is conducted in close collaboration with the 'movement disorders' group of Prof. Andrea Kühn (Charité) and the 'molecular neuroimaging' group of Prof. Ioannis Isaias (Universitätsklinikum Würzburg).
