Expertise
Niklas Giesa is currently part of the Medical Data Science Team supervised by Prof. Dr. Dr. Felix Balzer and works on his PhD thesis in cooperation with Dr. rer. nat. Stefan Haufe - head of the Brain and Data Science Group. His research focuses on deep learning techniques applied to investigate postoperative neurological complications. Originally he was enrolled at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Hannover for the major M.Sc. Digital Transformation. His master thesis dealt with the prediction of severe COVID-19 cases on intensive care at the Charité.
